Chunky boots, feminine skirts, matching collections, bucket type belts, fake leather trench coats and gold chain necklaces are the most popular fashion trends in 2020. But oversized Victorian sleeves became the most common and universal style, taking the Pakistani fashion trend by storm. Popular icons such as Iqra Aziz Hussain, Maya Ali, Mawra Hocane, Sonya Hussyn and Zhalay Sarhadi, in a variety of desi and non-desi wear, including matching sets and bridals, have all been spotted flaunting oversized sleeves.

The Parey Hut Love star, seen in a plum pishwas, flaunted her gigot sleeves with elaborate handwork and embellishments, adding extra glamour to this Faiza Saqlain’s flowing raw-silk piece. The dress was paired with a dupatta and Churidar trousers. Maya wore the ensemble with soft evening make-up, elegant parted hairstyle, medium-sized jhumkas and golden ankle-strap heels spinning at her happiest, setting the trend for formal wear.

Of late, several Elan bridals, as seen here on Mawra Hocane, have emphasised embellished puff sleeves and blouses. The outfit includes both western and eastern components, from the chikankari to the net. The lehenga is enhanced by mirror work, chikankari and pearls, while the blouse is decorated in a Western cut of embroidery and sequins. The outfit contains a light net dupatta with matching net and mirror info as well.
