Head Of State Dr Arif Alvi on Tuesday gave civil awards on 88 Pakistani and foreign nationals in acknowledgment of their solutions in various areas during a ceremony at Aiwan-i-Sadr.
The awards included six Nishan-i-Imtiaz, three Hilal-i-Imtiaz, 24 Sitara-i-Shuja’ at, 8 Sitara-i-Imtiaz, 14 President’s Award for Pride of Efficiency, one Sitara-i-Quaid-i-Azam, one Sitara-i-Khidmat, one Tamgha-i-Pakistan, 22 Tamgha-i-Shuja’ at and 8 Tamgha-i-Imtiaz, according to Radio Pakistan.
At the investiture event held in link with Pakistan Day, the receivers were honoured for showing quality in areas such as medication, education and learning, social services, arts, and for showing gallantry in the war versus terrorism as well as throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
The individualities that obtained the Nishan-i-Imtiaz were Sadeqain Naqvi (Art), Abida Parveen (Singing), Ahmad Faraz (Literature), Prof Shakir Ali (Art), Zahoorul Haq (Art), and also Dr Jameel Jalibi (Literary Works).
The Sitara-i-Imtiaz was provided on Prof Dr Farhan Saif (Education And Learning), Bushra Ansari (Arts), Muhammad Imran Qureshi (Arts), Sultana Siddiqui (Tv Manufacturing), Syed Farooq Qaiser (Arts), Rana Irfan Shakeel Ramay, Col Farooq Shahbaz (Public Service), and also Pir Syed Lakht-e-Hasnain (Philanthropy).

The Tamgha-i-Imtiaz was awarded to Muhammad Tahir Javed, Zeba Shehnaz (Acting), Hameedullah Shah Hashmi, Faisal Edhi (Public Service), Syed Aamir Mehmood, retired Capt Muhammad Ilyas, Farid Ahmed Khan and also Omar Saeed.
The Hilal-i-Imtiaz was provided to Prof Dr Anwarul Hassan Gillani (Scientific research: pharmaceutical), Dr Asif Mahmood Jah and Syed Javed Anwar.
The Sitara-i-Quaid-i-Azam was granted to Prof Dr Tariq Shafi, Sitara-i-Khidmat to Richard Geary Horwitz (UNITED STATES) as well as Tamgha-i-Pakistan to Jane Bank Employee (Denmark) for solutions to Pakistan.
