RAWALPINDI: The opening ceremony of the Joint Anti-Terrorist Exercise (JATE) 2021 was held at the National Counter Terrorism Centre in Pabbi on Thursday.
According to a news release provided by the Inter-Services Public Relations, troops from the Peoples Freedom Military (PLA) of China and Pakistan Military are taking part in the workout, which is part of the Shanghai Collaboration Organisation’s (SCO) regional anti-terrorism framework.

The JATE is being performed to practise and also master various drills and also treatments associated with counterterrorism operations, including cordon and search, compound clearance, close quarter battle as well as medical evacuation.

The workout is focused on boosting harmony and also interoperability among the unique solutions and also police of the SCO participant countries for combating international terrorism, exercising systems to respond to a crisis scenario and also ability building of the forces.
Stage one of the workout was carried out in respective countries from July 26 to 31 2021, whereas both weeks lengthy phase 2 is being performed in Pakistan.
