BD rescues Rohingya Muslims: Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh: The Bangladesh shore guard on Tuesday rescued 30 Rohingya evacuees adrift in the Bay of Bengal for 2 days after they were attacked by pirates, an authorities stated.
Regarding a million Rohingya evacuees live in stretching camps in south-east Bangladesh, having fled suppression in Myanmar.
Coast Guard spokesperson Commander Amirul Haque stated the watercraft left from near the camps in Bangladesh’s Cox’s Bazar area on Friday, carrying 20 ladies, five guys as well as 5 kids.
“On Sunday, the watercraft was assaulted by pirates who took all valuables from the refugees and maimed the boat’s engine before leaving,” he told reporters.
