QUETTA: The Balochistan High Court (BHC) on Friday denied requests against Saeed Ahmed Hashmi, owner of the Balochistan Awami Event, and Sajid Tareen of the Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP) and also enabled them to dispute Senate election.
A BHC bench consisting of Chief Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail and Justice Abdul Hameed Baloch heard the applications.
The petition against acceptance of election of documents of Mr Hashmi was submitted by BNP-M leader Musa Jan Baloch. The court rejected the appeal of the petitioner and permitted Mr Hashmi to contest the political election for a technocrat seat.
The bench likewise heard one more application submitted by a person specifically Khalid against approval of election papers of Mr Tareen, a prospect for basic and technocrat seats. The court declined the request as well as allowed Mr Tareen to take part in the political election.
