LAHORE: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Tuesday (today) will visit Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Shahbaz Sharif in Kot Lakhpat jail as he was granted permission for the reason by the Punjab home department.
During his visit, the president of the PPP would give his condolences to the president of the N-League for the sad demise of his mother, a spokesman for Mr. Bhutto-Zardari said, adding that it would be misleading to attach any connotations to the meeting.
Since 28 Sept, the Opposition leader in the National Assembly, along with his son Hamza Shahbaz, has been jailed in connection with an investigation of assets beyond means allegations against him.
During the afternoon tour, PPP leaders Sherry Rehman, Raja Pervez Ashraf and Qamar Zaman Kaira are scheduled to accompany Mr. Biawal, according to party officials.
Last week the Chairman of the PPP also called on PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif and expressed his condolences for her grandmother’s passing.
