RAWALPINDI: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Sunday modified as well as extended the entrance limitations, short-lived ban as well as the coronavirus standard procedure (SOPs) for all inbound tourists, chartered as well as personal aircraft trips till April 20.
A notice issued by the CAA consisting of a listing of countries was shared by the regulator with 20 countries placed in classification A. It additionally boosted the variety of countries in group C from 12 to 22 as a result of the spread of the new variant of Covid-19.
The CAA said the revised country list will work at 1am on April 6 till April 20.
According to the previous notification efficient from March 23 to April 5, there was a complete restriction on incoming travel for classification C countries.
The CAA claimed the short-lived procedure was being introduced in extension to the steps being taken to curb the spread of Covid-19.
The counties included in classification C were South Africa, Botswana, Chana, Kenya, Comoros, Mozambique, Zambia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Malawi, Seychelles, Somalia, Suriname, Uruguay as well as Venezuela.
From the 20 countries in group A, global vacationers do not need Covid-19 test before entrance into Pakistan.
These countries are Australia, Bhutan, China, Fiji, Japan, Kazakhstan, Laos, Mongolia, Mauritania, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Trinidad and Tobago and also Vietnam.
International tourists from nations not defined in classification A required Covid-19 PCR test (max 72 hours old) prior to commencement of traveling to Pakistan.
