CHITRAL: On Monday, the Drosh police arrested a retired army man for flagging a teenager in public over the stealing of a hen after a video showing a 13-year-old boy hanging upside down bound by rope to a tree branch went viral earlier in the day on social media.
A significant number of villagers look at the video suspected to be taken in Sheshi Lusht village near Drosh, some of them imploring the flogger to forgive the boy and let him go.

Following the incident, Deputy Commissioner Hassan Abid of Lower Chitral ordered the arrest of the flogger.
According to sections 341, 341, 500, 337, 34, 37 and 44 of the Pakistan Penal Code, the perpetrator, Amir Fayaz, was booked.
