Court extends stay order in Sharif Jati Umra residence: LAHORE: A civil court Tuesday expanded its keep order in a case pertaining to the ownership of Jati Umra residence of the Sharif family members till May 6.
Court Syed Faheemul Hassan Shah listened to matches filed by Yousaf Abbas as well as 3 other kids of Abbas Sharif, the late brother of former head of state Nawaz Sharif.
The court once more provided a notification to the Punjab federal government over its failure to submit its response.
The plaintiffs affirmed that the government is maneuvering the possession document of the land illegally.
They asked for the court to limit the government from interrupting the possession and belongings of the complainants.
At a previous hearing, the judge ruled, “In the meanwhile, till the next date of hearing, subject to notifications, status quo be kept relating to the suit residential or commercial property.”
Nonetheless, the court cleared that the order can be modified at any kind of stage if new realities surface area.
The land where former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s house is integrated in Raiwind is alleged to have been acquired using a fraudulence. A 600-kanal piece of land, coming from the Board of Earnings, was transferred to a woman, named Waheeda in 1989.
Later in 1993, the Sharif family members purchased 200 kanal from her.
On April 13, 2021, the profits department terminated the transfer of the land after the claimed fraud emerged.
