LAHORE: At a meeting of the Punjab Apex Committee, the Primary and Secondary Health Secretary said that the present coronavirus condition was the same as it was in June, when the outbreak was at its height in the province.
The committee meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Monday, was attended by provincial ministers, senior military officers, the chief secretary and the police inspector general.

The secretary also said that the government of Punjab provided hospitals with 207 new ventilators along with upgrading the necessary facilities there.
Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, 22 deaths have been confirmed in the province, while 540 more people have tested positive for the virus. Of the new cases, 201 from Lahore were registered, with a total of 60,012 confirmed cases and 1,245 deaths.
The overall number of positive cases in Punjab has crossed 122,293 and 3,137 deaths, according to an official update published on Monday.
