ABBOTTABAD/HARIPUR: Individuals came out when driving in various parts of the Abbottabad city on Saturday and also in Haripur on Sunday to oppose supposed desecration of the Holy Quran by an undertrial detainee in the Abbottabad prison.
Infuriated people began coming onto the roads in the Abbottabad city as the news of the event spread with the militants wrecking signboards and also harmful government installations. The protests continued till Saturday evening.

Inter-city transportation was obstructed at the entry and exit factors of the city as protesters took place a rampage. All city exchanges were closed.
The situation continued to be regular on Sunday as the area management had held arrangements with the militants, consisting of religious leaders, traders and activists of various teams. A 10-member board was created to probe the case.
