Electioneering in NA-249 winds up tomorrow: KARACHI: The electioneering in the NA-249 by-poll in Karachi will come to an end 48 hours prior to the polling, the election compensation claimed on Monday.
The political election project will end at twelve o’clock at night of 27 and 28 April, in the constituency, the Election Payment of Pakistan (ECP) said.
The ECP has guided all political parties in the election race to follow the political election code of conduct.
Following increasing COVID-19 instances, the ECP previously has asked the Karachi management to select health care personnel during the NA-249 by political election in order to effectively apply COVID SOPs during the polling procedure.
Last Monday, the Sindh government officially requested the ECP to postpone the by-election in National Assembly constituency NA-249 Karachi.
The ECP denied the request and also announced that the by-poll would certainly be hung on scheduled time.
The ECP released a notice, directing political parties to wind up all political activity in the constituency 2 days before the polls as well as advised that anybody found violating it would be penalized with jail time.
DRO Syed Nadeem Haider stated that the by-polls in NA-249 would certainly be held on April 29.
