ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi addressed matters related to the security of the Pakistani diaspora with the ruler of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates on Thursday.
“Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi appealed today in Dubai to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, and Ruler of the Emirate of Dubai,” FO said in a statement, adding at the meeting he “discussed issues relating to the welfare of the Pakistani Diaspora in the UAE.”

Mr Qureshi is visiting the UAE for a two-day stay. The tour takes place weeks after Pakistan was included by the UAE among the 12 countries for which it had revoked visit visas for their citizens.
The Foreign Minister encouraged Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid to promote the business community in the UAE to take advantage of Pakistan’s investment opportunities.
Mr. Qureshi, the FO said, reaffirmed Pakistan’s determination to further improve and deepen close bilateral ties with the UAE in the current situation.
The feelings were warmly reciprocated by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid.
