Only two days ago, famous TV star Ayeza Khan dethroned Aiman Khan as Instagram’s most-followed local celebrity. The Meray Paas Tum Ho star currently has the biggest follow-up on the platform with 8 million followers, closely trailing Aiman with 7.9 million followers as of now.
The artists both had 7.8 million followers in December, but Aiman was also included alongside Mahira Khan and Atif Aslam in Forbes’ list of Asia’s 100 Digital Stars.
Nonetheless, Ayeza posted a gorgeous photo of herself to thank her fans on the app and wrote, “Thank you guys so much for the love and respect!” Getting such a large amount of followers here is thrilling. But the only way I can enjoy this today, I must admit, is that I know how hard I have worked to attain everything I have.
She admitted, however, that her attention was never on her number of fans. “In the long term, it never succeeds. “My mother always taught me that working hard and building your legacy and being patient is important,” she proceeded to relay some words of wisdom. “When you have those, without you knowing, all the good stuff comes.”
“On that note, Ayeza said, “If you are hollow from the inside, increasing numbers of followers do not guarantee long-term success. There is an explanation that someone will have more impact over people with a few thousand followers on Instagram than someone with tonnes of millions of followers. Don’t be the idiot, please, who runs for numbers.
Instead of praising “a mere number of likes you got on your last post,” the Mehar Posh actor asked her fans to be what they want, yet to aspire for long-term success.
I still concentrated all my attention on my career, my acting and modelling, and the fan that followed developed itself. “I’m grateful to all of you guys, because it feels great to have so many people recognise your talent and work, instead of blindly tapping the following button and not even knowing what I’m really doing,” she summarised.
