LAHORE: PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz says former Premier Nawaz Sharif has been vindicated by the Broadsheet event.
The Broadsheet, the wealth recovery agency hired by Gen Musharraf to investigate Nawaz Sharif’s offshore property some 20 years ago, ended up asking the Sharif family for help in its urgent attempt to secure the unpaid funds owed to the corporation by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

The company had also earlier demanded four flats at Avenfield House to impose the payment owing to the company by NAB of the unpaid $22 million. Last month, however, the lawsuit was ordered to be discharged by the judge.
The Broadsheet was paid $22.7m to make a case against Nawaz Sharif. But the assistance of Iqama (work permit) and Judge Arshad Malik was taken, respectively, to disqualify and punish him. The real image of the Avenfield Apartments today has also come to the fore, vindicating the dignity and innocence of Nawaz Sharif, Maryam said in a Tuesday tweet.
A dirty game was played to keep Nawaz out of politics, she added.
