LAHORE: Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) IGP Nasir Durrani died as a result of coronavirus.
The previous IG KP was under treatment at Mayo Health center for a month. He got on ventilator assistance for the last a number of days after his problem weakened.
Throughout 2013, he was selected as KP IGP and served the province till 2017. He was attributed for bringing reforms in the KP authorities throughout his period under the PTI government.
Durrani had also served as the head of the Punjab Police Reforms Compensation.
Condolences pour in
Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed his condolence over the fatality of Nasir Khan Durrani and lauded the solutions of the former authorities principal.
He also prayed for the departed heart and shared acknowledgement with his bereaved household.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and also Punjab Special Assistant for Info Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan have shared deep sorrow over his death.
Buzdar as well as Awan said that Nasir Durrani was a patriotic Pakistani as well as a truthful policeman, his services will always be kept in mind.
