ISLAMABAD: On Monday, Prime Minister Imran Khan said the government was working on targeted incentives to provide customers with cheaper electricity.
He said that because the energy sector was very important for the economy of the country, the priority of the government was on meeting the energy needs of all industries.

Chairing the Energy Sector Review Conference, the Prime Minister ordered the use of all tools to provide customers with cheaper electricity.
A thorough briefing on the current state of the energy industry was offered to the prime minister and he expressed his satisfaction. The prime minister was also told of developments in the power delivery mechanism as well as the current circular debt condition.
Power Minister Umar Ayub Khan told the meeting that the confidence of investors had improved due to the clean energy policy and they showed a strong interest in investing in the market.
