Green jobs in Pakistan: ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has made progress in developing 100,000 eco-friendly work as the World Bank (WB) revealed arrangement to supply financial assistance for the project.
The Ministry of Climate Change has made a decision to produce 0.1 million environment-friendly jobs in Pakistan by giving possibilities to young people to make up to Rs800 to Rs1,000 every day by planting trees in their areas.
A delegation of the Globe Bank (WB) headed by the country supervisor contacted Special Assistant To The Prime Minister on Environment Change Malik Amin Aslam where they held assessments over Prime Minister Imran Khan’s prepare for developing environment-friendly work.
The World Financial institution ensured the SAPM Malik Amin Aslam to provide monetary help worth $120 million to Pakistan to start the eco-friendly work program.
During the conference, Malik Amin Aslam said that PM Imran Khan had vowed to produce green work during the coronavirus pandemic and the federal government fulfilled its promises. He said that WB will give monetary assistance to the program for growing millions of trees across the nation.
Aslam included that every youth can produce a revenue of Rs20,000 to Rs30,000 in a month by joining the program, whereas, the process to validate employment will be completed within five to six months.
In April in 2015, PM Imran Khan had approved a ‘Environment-friendly Stimulation Plan’ as part of the government’s efforts to prolong eco-friendly cover in the county as well as to create job possibilities for the youth, especially following the COVID-19 dilemma.
