Dimple Kapadia, a Bollywood actor, recently appeared in Christopher Nolan’s new Tenet film. Kapadia opened up in an interview about her experience working with Nolan and how she felt after the release of the script. The actor announced that the film ‘changed her life for the better, the Hindustan Times reported.
“I guess it has changed my life to do Tenet. I was always a hesitant actor, I always put it off and didn’t do them. But for me, Tenet has really changed everything. Now I’m raring to roll. “I want to do a lot of work now, good work.”
Kapadia, who in the movie has an Oracle-like appearance as weapons dealer Priya Singh, said Nolan made it possible for actors to do things. Slipping into it was so wonderful and amazingly simple (the role). He (Nolan) made getting into it too easy for me. “It was a world of dreams and I wish I could make it better,” she was quoted as saying.
At the same time, Kapadia said she was under a lot of pressure” before the shooting. Honestly, when I was doing it I was under too much of my own pressure. I was so nervous that I couldn’t even understand what was happening or enjoy it. If I thought about it right now, she said, it was a wonderful dream for me.
Kapadia revealed, among other items, that when she read the script of the film, she couldn’t understand what Nolan was trying to mean about it.
I was locked up for four hours in my vanity van, and it took me too much time to read. I did not know what I was doing when I read the first 20-30 pages. I’m an ardent reader, but she said that I really couldn’t find out where I was.
I got the gist of it right after finishing it, but I somehow couldn’t comprehend what he was trying to mean exactly. So I was always looking forward to seeing how he would transform it into cinema, as it would be the most exciting aspect of it.
