ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday advised the Federal Examination Company’s (FIA) cybercrime wing to exercise its powers deliberately or else the court would impose heavy price on the investigation officers for abuse of authority.
IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah was listening to the petitions filed against the recurring queries by the FIA’s cybercrime wing versus reporters Bilal Ghauri, Asad Toor and also others.
When the principal justice inquired from the FIA cybercrime wing’s supervisor Babar Bakhat Qureshi regarding number of pending problems, he educated the court that they remained in thousands. The FIA cybercrime wing’s director stated they had actually distributed court’s guidelines and also assured the court of implementing the standard procedure in future questions.
