KARACHI: Karachi Tajir Action Committee (KTAC) established a “hunger strike camp” at major Lighthouse, M.A. Jinnah Roadway, at 8am on Thursday till an uncertain duration to protest against “discrimination” of the Sindh federal government against Karachi and Hyderabad over lockdowns in comparison to various other parts of Sindh.
General assistant of All City Tajir Ittehad Association (ACTIA) Mohammed Ahmed Shamsi stated with the support of the city’s traders, the camp had actually been established to protest against the Sindh government’s “hostile” attitude towards Karachi and also Hyderabad for forcefully enforcing two once a week market closures (Fridays as well as Sundays) in contrast to one weekly holiday in other parts of Sindh.

The timing of shutting the marketplaces as well as stores in Karachi and also Hyderabad is 8pm as versus 10pm in different parts of the interior of Sindh, he said, asserting that the Sindh government had destroyed organization activities in Karachi and Hyderabad.
