The best female player, as well as the premier ODI and Twenty20 player, was awarded to Perry, 30.
“It is a great honour for me to receive this award,” Kohli said in a video, returning from India’s continuing Australia tour to attend his first child’s birth.
Under his captaincy two years ago, Kohli listed India’s victories in the 2011 ODI World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy as well as the team’s maiden Test series victory in Australia as special moments.
In the last decade, I’ve loved all the fights,” Kohli said. “In the past, I have played against some great bowlers and even today I have continued to play some quality bowlers.”
The all-format captain of India was the leading run-scorer of the decade with 20,396, making the most fifties (66) and having the best average of players with more than 70 innings (56.97).
He was also the only player with an average of 61.83 with over 10,000 one-day international runs, including 39 centuries and 48 fifties.
At the 2011 World Cup, Perry, who also played football for Australia, captured four T20 world titles and the 2013 one-day World Cup, scoring 4,349 runs and 213 wickets over the decade.
