Malir court orders prosecution of witness: The hearing of 2 different situations versus PTI’s Haleem Adil Sheikh has been adjourned till May 20.
The Sindh opposition leader stood for the hearing of the rioting as well as interference in government affairs instances in Karachi’s Malir court.
No witnesses appeared in court after which the court ordered the prosecution to guarantee witnesses participate in the following hearing.
Sheikh was apprehended in Darsano Chano on February 16 in both instances: interference throughout an anti-encroachment operation in Memon Goth and bringing guns to a polling terminal during Malir by-polls.
The instances were signed up against him on February 6 and also February 16, respectively.
An anti-terrorism court in Karachi had turned down bond appeal on March 1, which was declined. The PTI leader was launched on bail by the Sindh High Court on March 26. It was delayed by a day to a keying mistake in the written judgment. The Malir court prosecuted him in both cases on April 3.
