Maryam Nawaz calls off Karachi visit: LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice Head Of State Maryam Nawaz has terminated her scheduled visit to Karachi, event agent Marriyam Aurangzeb stated on Saturday.
She claimed the PML-N leader cancelled her journey to the port city taking into account the threat posed by Covid-19 to people’s lives.
The choice was required to maintain people and event employees from getting contaminated with the rampaging virus.
Maryam Nawaz was set up to get to Karachi on Saturday (today) to lead the election campaign of PML-N prospect Miftah Ismail for by-elections on a National Assembly seat (NA-249) in Karachi.
PML-N Karachi had constituted committees to invite the event’s main leader. The PML-N vice president was to lead rallies in various areas of NA-249 constituency as well as the major public gathering was to be held at Bismillah Chowk of Baldia Town location of Karachi.
The by-poll in the constituency is scheduled for April 29 as well as the electioneering in the constituency will culminate at twelve o’clock at night of 27 and 28 April.
