HYDERABAD: Sindh Assembly Leader of the Opposition Firdous Shamim Naqvi ridiculed the statement by the leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party that he would make Gilgit-Baltistan another Sindh and said no part of the country would like to resemble Sindh as it is under the rule of the PPP.
At a rally organised by Pakistan’s Tehreek-i-Insaf to voice support for Pakistan’s military and condemn the release of blasphemous cartoons outside the local press club on Sunday, Naqvi said that Imran Khan would not offer NROs to anyone and would continue at all costs to chase thieves, looters, and plunderers of national wealth.
He said Imran Khan had promised the nation that he would pursue looters, thieves, and dacoits and bring them to prison, their ultimate destination.
Naqvi said, referring to the statements of Ayaz Sadiq, that “Mir Sadiq” should be ashamed of himself for speaking in the National Assembly against the army. He had criticised the soldiers who on all fronts had fought for the country, he said.
Later, while talking to journalists, he said that PDM was in reality the ‘Divide’ Movement of Pakistan, which was a gang of thieves talking about ‘Azad Balochistan’ and ‘Sindh card Naqvi.’
He said the agitation of the PDM was targeted at pursuing NRO and its representatives themselves had requested NRO by seeking reforms in the mechanism of transparency. After having looted billions of rupees of national wealth, the PDM was trying to weaken this government, he said.
He praised the remark made by Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari about the speech made by Nawaz Sharif about the army in Gujranwala and said that Bilawal dissociated himself from the narrative of Sharif by saying that no names should be called out. Sharif wanted to trigger an army mutiny, he said.
SUKKUR: PTI staff organised a ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ rally in Jacobabad on Sunday to express support for the Pak army.
The rally started at Panhwar House and reached DC Chowk, where the Indian flag was burned by the participants.
