North Korea stated on Sunday the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) applied double standards over armed forces activities amongst UN participant states, state media KCNA said, in the middle of international objection over its current rocket tests.
The UNSC satisfied behind closed doors on Friday upon demands from the United States and also other countries over the North’s rocket launches.
The conference came a day after Pyongyang fired a newly created anti-aircraft missile, the most recent in a recent series of weapons examinations consisting of the launches of a formerly hidden hypersonic missile, ballistic missiles and also a cruise missile with prospective nuclear capabilities.
Jo Chol Su, director of the North Oriental international ministry’s Department of International Organisations, stated the UNSC conference indicates an “open lack of knowledge of and also wanton encroachment” on its sovereignty and also “severe intolerable provocation”.
Jo accused the UNSC of double standards as it remains quiet regarding United States joint armed forces exercises and also weapons examinations with allies, while differing with the North’s “self-defensive” tasks.

“This is a rejection of impartiality, neutrality as well as equilibrium, lifelines of the UN activities, and also an apparent indication of double-dealing requirement,” Jo said in a declaration lugged by the main KCNA news agency.
