LAHORE: The country has not forgotten the age of mega-corruption and plunder when palatial houses were created at the price of the people’s hard-earned income, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said Tuesday.
The CM emphasised in a statement that those who lived a lavish lifestyle at the detriment of the money of taxpayers were not leaders but looters. A deep-rooted deception is the insidious campaign of the resistance against national institutions and its perfidious narrative has reached its logical end.
The anti-government drive, meanwhile, has little worth, he added. As these are the pride foundations of the Society, the CM stressed that reverence for institutions is binding on everyone. The government is working hard to get the nation out of the quagmire and, he held, particular attention was given to providing the people with the requisite facilities.
The government has been working hard to change people’s lives, and because of holistic structural changes, the world has pushed forward, he said. He also claimed that nothing is more relevant than public health.
Buzdar lamented that people’s concerns had been neglected by the previous governments and added that the incumbent PTI-led government had taken strong measures to boost the national economy. In their respective tenures, the former rulers did little for the people, and the opposition had no agenda other than the preservation of stolen capital, he maintained and regretted leaving the nation behind because of the danger of corruption. Those who stole the kitty, he argued, had no right to talk about the people. If there had been no wrongdoing in the past, the nation would not have been indebted, the CM observed, stressing that the looters would have to be responsible for their deeds.
For the country’s growth, removing graft, looting and nepotism is essential. The CM confirmed that the PTI will continue the path in public service. In the meantime, the decisions made in the country’s better interest have begun to produce positive outcomes because the PTI government is frank with the people, the CM concluded.
COVID-19 SOPs: The Chief Minister said that the provincial government is working constantly to resolve the coronavirus and that the condition is maintained with a cautious eye.
He called on people to wear face masks in a tweet, as the government’s highest priority is the security of human life.
In the meantime, the CM said he was now getting happier and doing vital stuff from home where he was isolating himself.
