The city of Zaranj in Afghanistan’s Nimroz district was up to the Taliban on Friday, provincial cops said, making it the initial rural funding the insurgents have caught as they step up offensives.
An agent for Nimroz’s authorities, who decreased to be named for security factors, claimed the Taliban had been able to record the city as a result of a lack of supports from the federal government.

The insurgents have taken dozens of districts and also border crossings in current months and put pressure on several rural capitals, including Herat in the west and also Kandahar in the south, as international soldiers withdraw.
