Pakistan on Thursday performed an effective training launch of surface-to-surface nuclear-capable ballistic missile Ghaznavi, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) claimed.
According to a statement, the training launch was aimed at making sure functional readiness of Military Strategic Forces Command (ASFC) and re-validating technological specifications of the weapon system.
According to the armed force’s media wing, rocket Ghaznavi can delivering numerous types of warheads as much as a range of 290 kilometres.
The launch of the ballistic missiles was observed by Commander Army Strategic Forces Command Lt Gen Muhammad Ali; elderly policemans from Strategic Program Division, Army Strategic Forces Command and also researchers and designers of critical organisations.
Gen Ali appreciated the outstanding requirement of training, handling of the weapon system and also implementation of the launch mission in the field by soldiers.

The president, head of state, chairman joint principals of staff committee and the solutions principals also congratulated all rankings of ASFC, scientists as well as designers on the effective conduct of the launch.
In February this year, the ASFC had actually conducted a ‘training launch’ of Ghaznavi as part of its yearly field training exercise.
