Addressing various functions linked to the public communication drive in the NA-156 and NA-157 constituencies here on Sunday, Mr. Qureshi said the government was not afraid of rallies and demonstrations, but Prime Minister Imran Khan called on the Democratic Movement of Pakistan (PDM) to cancel its public meetings during the coronavirus pandemic to save people’s lives.

How will people who plan public gatherings amid the extreme [second] coronavirus wave be well-wishers for the people? “Asked him.

He accused the opposition alliance PDM of playing with the lives of the people by holding its public meetings during the pandemic.

“He said, referring to the ongoing agitation of the opposition: “Those who plundered the masses are once again going out together to rob people with their empty and fake slogans while creating an argument for democracy, but people are aware of the truth of their slogans.

After seventy years, he said the country found honest leadership in the form of Imran Khan, who genuinely worked for the progress of the people.

The opposition is not satisfied with the success of the nation which is ongoing. This progress will proceed at the same pace, amid all the obstacles,” he added.

“Corruption badly damaged the country and destroyed the institutions, and now that the gang of looters who plundered the country is being held accountable, they are trying to use the people [against the government], but now they can no longer fool the people,” he said.

As the voters defeated “these looters” in the 2018 elections, he said they would condemn them again in the 2023 polls.
