Inspector Hanif’s Mobile CDR (call information record) specialist and three other witnesses reported their comments, while the prosecution surrendered one witness.
Hanif told the court that the suspected encounter took place between 3 p.m. and 3:20 p.m., although the appearance at the crime scene of the cell phones of the accused officials was reported only after that time at the closest mobile phone tower.
He stated that thus, Anwar, Qamar and about 10 others were not present at the site of the alleged encounter when it took place. He further claimed that the geo-fencing study indicated that they got there later, but according to the mobile CDR, the appearance of Anwar at the crime scene was only reported afterwards, although when the incident happened, he seemed to be on the move.
According to Hanif, at 3:08pm, DSP Qamar was reported as being at the Razzaqabad Training Centre, while at 3:30pm his location was recorded at the crime scene.
The attorneys defending the suspects ended the cross-examination of the testimony of the witnesses.
