Sheheryar Munawar and Maya Ali’s Pehli Si Muhabbat, the tale of unrequited love between two star-crossed lovers in modern-day Pakistan, is an upcoming serial in which the pair will fight their own wars and against the world to come together in what will be an epic love storey.
Aslam, who lives in Karachi but moves back to Hyderabad to see his dad, is a young, early 20s boy-next-door. He has good beliefs and ideals and likes to stick up for them.
He has a good laugh with friends, doesn’t like to take himself too seriously, is rough around the edges, like a gali ka larka, Sheheryar opened up while talking to Photos, adding that playing the character was particularly fun because it was witty, emotional and strong-willed.

Haring what it was like to be on a television set after a long time, he even chuckled at how a bit tiring and a lot of effort the experience was. “But also a lot of fun because when you’re doing films you’re doing about half a scene or a scene a day — but on a television set you average about 8 scenes a day.”
But it’s also really fun because you get to do too much work for the same purpose,” the Ho Mann Jahan actor added. “I’ll have 50 scenes for myself in a film, but I’ll probably have 250 scenes in a drama. You get to do too many, play around with your thoughts, play around a lot more with the character. So nice to be back on a television set,’ he said.
Sheheryar also talked about the experience of working with Maya Ali, provided that the two came together for their film Parey Hut Love only recently.
“Because we had a working relationship in Parey Hut Love, it was easy for me to just jump into Pehli Si Muhabbat and already have that kind of connection in terms of working together,”Since we had a working relationship in Parey Hut Love, it was easy for me to just jump into Pehli Si Muhabbat and already have that kind of connection in terms of working together.

Maya is very talented, hard-working and a focused colleague with whom to collaborate. She has an excellent work ethic and she brings a lot of time into the scenes we do together. We can share our opinions quickly, so it’s a lot of fun. There’s a lot of back and forth to plan for a scene.
Maya had already posted snippets from the sets previously, giving viewers a teaser into the upcoming serial to be broadcast on ARY digital.
The series, written by Faiza Iftikhar and directed by Anjum Shahzad, has not yet been released.
