LAHORE: Muslim League of Pakistan-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Husain has asked the government to take the opposition’s recommendations seriously and both should join in the country’s interest.
“In the interest of the country, both the government and the opposition should unite. Instead of taking steps to address problems, government officials should not make it a matter of their ego, Chaudhry Shujaat said in a statement here on Thursday.
He said that two and a half years have already passed through this government and that the results of this verbal bickering between the government and the opposition will come to light by the passing of another year, so instead of bringing it to this stage, both could move towards negotiation.
Furthermore, the former premier said that the country’s situation had reached a point where it had never been before. He said that the PML-Q was the government’s ally and still gave sincere suggestions.
