LAHORE: PML-Q At the Services Hospital, the health of President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain is reportedly improving.
Services Institute of Medical Sciences Principal Prof Dr Amjad says the leader of PML-Q has shown improvement as he has been removed from the supply of artificial oxygen while also beginning to recognise visitors.
The former prime minister was admitted to the hospital’s private ward on Friday after he felt uncomfortable with a chest infection. He was tested both for the Covid-19 attack and for pneumonia. His chest X-rays were carried out as well.
The doctors attending him say that no unusual thing was discovered in the tests of Mr. Shujaat and he suffered from a routine sinus attack for which he also received treatment from abroad.

At the hospital, various prominent personalities continue to visit him. On Sunday, Badshahi Masjid khateeb Abdul Khabeer Azad visited him, while on Saturday, Jahangir Tareen, Faisal Sabzwari, Qari Hanif Jalandhry asked about him.
In the meantime, PPP leader Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar, who has Alzheimer’s disease, was admitted to the Shalimar Hospital, a health facility he helped develop with his family.
Some time ago, Mr. Mukhtar underwent surgery in the United States. Dawn was told by his family that he was suffering from pneumonia and that his condition was stable.
Gujrat belongs to both Chaudhry Shujaat and Chaudhry Mukhtar. In politics, they are arch rivals and have contested elections against one another. For the last couple of years, however, the latter had withdrawn himself from active politics because of his health problems.
