ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Income (FBR) on Thursday made it mandatory for all producers to fasten tax obligation stamps or Unique Recognition Marking (UIM) on all products effective from July 1, 2021.
The order was notified through late-night Sales Tax obligation General Orders (STGO). After awarding the permit for Track as well as Trace System to the effective prospective buyer, the FBR has also issued four STGOs for cigarette, sugar, cement as well as fertilizer under the stipulations of Section 40C( 2) of the Sales Tax Obligation Act, 1990 checked out with Guideline 150ZF of the Sales Tax Rules, 2006.
These legislations mandate the FBR to notify the day for the implementation of digital surveillance of manufacturings as well as sales of items in the way suggested in legislation on all producing websites (unless or else given) for all the notified fields.
No item will be permitted to leave the production site, manufacturing facility properties, producing plant or import station without affixation of tax stamps or UIMs with result from July 1, 2021, the FBR claimed.
The tax obligation stamps or UIMs could be acquired from FBR’s licensee M/s AJCL/MITAS/Authentix Consortium.
The FBR better directed all makers of specified products to make necessary arrangements for import of applicators and also various other tools required for successful installment and execution of the Track as well as Trace System at their manufacturing facilities.
