On Wednesday, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) President Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that recent terrorism incidents in the country proved that the government’s statements that peace had been created were “wrong”
He discussed what was the latest in a string of PDM-planned anti-government protests. Hosted by JUI-F, leaders of the PDM constituent parties attended the rally in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district, but neither PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz nor PPP Chair Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari were present.

Rehman accused the government of having “ruined” stability and the economy of the country in his message, stating that in the tribal areas there was no regime.
There have been allegations that we have vanquished terrorism, that there is stability now in the world.
“I say if the armed forces have given sacrifices against terrorism, then we have too and so has the nation. And if terrorism is [still] present then your claims were wrong,” the JUI-F chief told the crowd.
He asked whether the armed forces in the tribal areas were “still present” “Is terrorism not being ended so there is a justification for the army to stay there?” he said.
Rehman reported that the military was “spread everywhere in Balochistan” arguing that this was cited as a security necessity.
I want to state in plain terms that peace will not be built until the army stays in Pakistan’s residential areas,’ he said.
He condemned the murder of Hazara coal miners in Balochistan, saying that terrorists roamed “free to murder anyone”
“Rehman told the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) that he was asked to “surrender” and added: “I said it was Gen Niazi who surrendered.
The JUI-F leader said the PDM had demonstrated “the path of freedom and democracy” to the country. “introduce Pakistan as an Islamic state”introduce Pakistan as an Islamic state.
JUI-F Central Secretary General Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri accused the government of having issued the dictatorship “chadar of dictatorship”
In the interest of transparency, he alleged that the government was defaming people through the NAB.

A luncheon for the central and regional leadership of the PDM at the residence of JUI-F chief Akram Khan Durrani was arranged prior to today’s rally. In addition to Rehman, before going to the rally venue, Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Ahsan Iqbal, Ameer Muqam and other leaders had lunch there.
