SWAT: 3 terrorists belonging to the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were eliminated in an encounter with the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) cops in Kangar Gali location of Jowar in Buner area on Wednesday.
According to the CTD authorities, they got info from their secret sources concerning the presence of terrorists coming from Swat district at Kangar Gali, a hilly area of Jowar.
“Complying with the details, the CTD authorities reached the location where the terrorists began firing on them. The authorities struck back the fire, eliminating all the three terrorists,” said a statement provided by the CTD, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
They recognized the terrorists as Usama Khan, Idrees and also Najeebullah, all belonging to Dadahara location of Kabal tehsil in Swat district.
“They were equipped with heavy arms and also intending to attack security forces. They were involved in targeted murders of PML-N leader advocate Feroz Shah and a police constable in Swat,” the declaration stated, including that heavy arms were recouped from their possession.
At the same time, funeral prayers in absentia of the departed politician as well as previous legislator Usman Kakar were held at various places in Swat on Wednesday.
