WASHINGTON: United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has proposed a UN-led peace conference to develop an “inclusive government” in Afghanistan with the Taliban.

According to New York Times, Mr Blinken said in his proposal that the conference would certainly intend to establish a three-month period of “reduction in physical violence” that would certainly bring about a ceasefire.
The proposition was made by Mr Blinken in a letter to Covering Head of state Ashraf Ghani.
The letter from the United States assistant was first published by TOLO information, an Afghan information outlet, and validated by the Times.
