ISLAMABAD: The chairman of parliament’s Kashmir Board, Shehryar Khan Afridi, on Saturday looked for the worldwide community’s treatment to aid bring “genocide of Kashmiris” to an end.
Addressing a seminar entitled ‘Human safety discourse in 21st century’ held right here under the aegis of The Human Safety And Security Institute (THSI), he claimed: “6 hundred days of the abrogation of Articles 370 and also 35-A have passed yet the world has fallen short to act and quit colonialisation of Jammu as well as Kashmir by India”.
He said the United Nations must pick up from the failure of the League of Nations and also play its function in resolving longstanding concerns interfering with peace and advancement worldwide.
Mr Afridi claimed India was implementing war crimes in busy Jammu and Kashmir after abrogation of Articles 370 and also 35-A making Kashmir a fit case for the UN treatment.
He said if the UN fell short to solve conflicts and conflicts, there would be a massive question mark on its fate.
